Stephen Paulseth, PT DPT SCS ATC

Doctor of Physical Therapy

Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Sports Physical Therapy

Certified Athletic Trainer

Stephen is Board-Certified as a Sports Clinical Specialist. Stephen graduated with a Master’s degree from the University of Southern California Physical Therapy program and later completed the post professional Doctoral PT program. He is adjunct faculty in the USC Physical Therapy program, a mentor in the USC orthopedic residency program and has been faculty at Mount St. Mary's graduate Physical Therapy.

Stephen works with the US Olympic Committee, Federation Internationale de Volleyball, US Ski and Snowboard teams, LA Leggers, and has served as head trainer to numerous high schools in the Los Angeles area. He was former President of the Foot and Ankle Special Interest Group of the American Physical Therapy Association. Stephen participated as a US Medical Delegate for the 2004 Olympics Games in Athens, Greece. He has consulted with several orthopedic soft good companies for product design and development. Stephen has a special interest in foot and ankle injuries and holds a US patent on a specialized therapeutic ankle brace. He has written numerous articles for physical therapy and sports research journals as well as fitness publications.

An avid skier and hockey player, Stephen enjoys training to get in out of the cold.

Leslie Rudzinski, PT OCS CFMT

Physical Therapist

Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy

Certified Functional Manual Therapist

Leslie has been practicing in the area of orthopedic and sports physical therapy since 1987. She obtained her orthopedic specialist certification (OCS) in 1996 and her certification in functional manual therapy (CFMT) in 1999 through the Institute of Physical Art. She was on faculty with the Institute of Physical Art for many years teaching the functional mobilization philosophy to other PT’s. In addition to functional mobilization, Leslie is trained in various other forms of manual therapy including Australian, Osteopathic, and multiple soft tissue techniques. Leslie’s primary expertise is in treating disorders of the spine as well as cranio-facial pain. Leslie enjoys a variety of sports activities including skiing, surfing, cycling and golf.

Scott Scherr, PT DPT OCS

Doctor of Physical Therapy

Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy

Scott has been practicing physical therapy since 2012 when he graduated from the University of Southern California with a doctorate in physical therapy.  He then obtained his Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS) in 2013 after completing a 12 month residency through USC.  Prior to attending USC, Scott completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California Santa Barbara, where he obtained a B.S. in Biological Sciences.  He began his career at Paulseth and Associates in 2012. Over the last seven years, Scott has sub-specialized in treating complex foot/ankle conditions.  He has a passion for running and has taken courses over those seven years to further his knowledge in treating individuals with running related injuries.  Other coursework includes fascial and joint manipulation training.  During his time at Paulseth and Associates, he has mentored USC residents that participate in the same program he completed in 2013.  Scott prides himself on creating lasting therapeutic relationships so his patients always know who to turn to when their physical health is compromised.  In his spare time you can find him out on a run, watching the Lakers and/or Dodgers, or spending time with his family.

Alex Abzug, PT DPT OCS

Doctor of Physical Therapy

Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy

Alex has been a member of the Paulseth and Associates family since 2013. He graduated from the University of Southern California with his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) and subsequently became board-certified in Orthopedic Physical Therapy after completing his orthopedic residency. A native Californian, Alex decided to cross the country and attend Boston University for his Bachelors degree, where he graduated with a B.S. in Health Science. As a physical therapist, he enjoys working with people from across the spectrum, whether they want to return to their daily activities or their favorite sport. In his time here, Alex has gained an interest in treating complex foot and ankle injuries. Alex currently is an Adjunct Instructor of Clinical Physical Therapy at USC, where he teaches 1st year physical therapy students about diagnosis orthopedic injuries and he is also a mentor in the Orthopedic Residency program. In his free time, Alex enjoys riding his bike, lifting weights, and watching his hometown Dodgers, Rams, and Lakers.

Jenn Venegas, PT DPT

Doctor of Physical Therapy

Jenn graduated from the University of Southern California with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2019 and completed her orthopedic residency program through USC in 2020. Jenn grew up in the San Fernando Valley and completed her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Science from California State University, Northridge. She is passionate about working with young athletes and runners and strives to help her patients reach their goals. Jenn enjoys going to sporting events, running, being outdoors and spending time with friends and family.

Davey Honda, PT DPT

Doctor of Physical Therapy

Davey graduated from the University of Southern California with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2020 and is currently completing the USC orthopedic residency program. Davey grew up in Vail, Colorado and decided to move away from the small ski town to attend the University of California, Los Angeles, where he graduated with a B.S. in Physiological Sciences. Davey enjoys working with an array of clients and has a special interest in treating those with cycling related injuries. He enjoys riding his bike on the weekends, being outdoors, and hitting the slopes in the winter.
